BackSnacks Program - Delivery Team
Friday, January 8, 8:00am - 9:00am (1 hour)
The BackSnacks program provides a backpack, or bag, full of food for hungry children in the Kansas City area. Every weekend hundreds of school chilren leave school to go to a home that has little or no food. The BackSnacks provide enough food to sustain these children through the weekend and return them to school ready to learn.
On Thursday evenings the Assembly Team stuffs the BackSnacks and readies them for delivery. The Delivery Team delivers the BackSnacks to the schools/classrooms.

Work alongside other Westsiders to fill several hundred backpacks with food for inner-city kids to have over the week-end. This helps them so much, as they get adequate food during their school days, but it is hard for their families on the week-ends. Great for families to work together on!

Work down at the Kansas City Rescue Mission doing clothing distribution. This opportunity is more "behind-the-scenes", however 2 people can choose whether or not they'd like to be the ones to take the clothing orders directly from the homeless men. You will work alongside other Westsiders. Ages 6+.
Serve a hot meal to homeless men at the Kansas City Rescue Mission. You will serve alongside other Westsiders, to help cut the desserts and serve the meal at the shelter. The KCRM staff will always be right there to assist you.
